Linus Gitahi Helps Uncover the Secrets of Kenya’s Great Runners

Posted by tdepp on March 30, 2009

Back when I was in high school in the 1970s, Kenya’s great distance runners like Kip Keino were all the rage.

Even a group of white kids running cross country in South Dakota wanted to be like Kip and his compatriots.

Interestingly, Kenyan corporate executive Linus Gitahi blogs about the training, nutrition, and perhaps, even natural advantages Kenyan runners have over runners from other parts of the world.

Linus Gitahi is also a successful businessperson and is currently the general manager for consumer healthcare for SmithKline Beecham for East Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands.

He is also looking to grow his contacts with others throughout the world with social media.

Linus Gitahi is an interesting fellow.  I hope you learn more about him.  And pay attention to his running tips!

Celebrate Our New President 6 p.m. Tuesday at Nutty’s North in Sioux Falls

Posted by tdepp on January 19, 2009

From Lisa Engles, Paula Johnson, and others involved with Democratic politics in the Sioux Empire.  I plan to be there and hope to bring Dr./Mrs. S.D. Watch along, as well as S.D. Watch, Jr.:

This Tuesday, January 20th, EVERYONE is invited to join us at 6:00pm to celebrate the historic day and the positive changes Barack Obama and Joe Biden administration will be leading.  We will be at Nutty’s North, by the arena on West Ave.  Light appetizers will be provided (I ordered food for 200 people).  Nutty’s North also has a full kitchen and bar so people can get their own drinks and full meals if they would like.

Now is a time for us to stand together and remind the DNC South Dakotans’ are ready for CHANGE and we have the numbers and will power to help make it happen.
Please let EVERYONE know they are welcome to join us 6:00 Tuesday at Nutty’s North.
