What Recession? Wal-Mart and Best Buy Are Bonkers

Posted by tdepp on December 26, 2008

An informal S.D. Watch/Kansas Watch examination of the economy today reveals that people are still flocking to Wal-Mart and Best Buy the day after Christmas.

There were long lines in checkout lanes and tons of people in each store.

I realize there’s a lot of Christmas cash and gift cards being spent, but if an alien beamed down to a certain city in the Upper Midwest and was told he was in the midst of the worst recession in a generation or so, Mr. Alien couldn’t be more suprised if he woke up with his antennae glued to the console of his flying saucer.

Go figure.
